How much weight can I put in the bed of my truck??

2002 f-150 V6, extended cab version with the bed being XLT

Check the sticker on the door jam and look for the rear GAWR. It'll probably be about 3800, maybe more.

no way is it 3800 pounds gvwr is total weight including truck gas passengers and load you can probably haul 800 pounds safe a little more if you really push it

Is it a heavy half? If so about 1500 lb. if it is  a half ton then a 1000lb. A ton has 2000 lb in it. You can  put more in it but it will ruin your  undercarriage and tires and be very dangerous to drive.
