  1. The maximum amount of weight is 22 pounds or 10 kilos.  Should you pass the amount of weight, then you will have to pay for excess weight in the baggage.

Yep, up to 22 pounds unless it's an assistive devices such as a wheel chair, walker, medical device...etc. However, most people don't follow the 22 pound rule, but I would suggest  they start especially with all of the new "checked" baggage rules. Have you ever sat in the aisle seat and cringed while someone tried to stuff a 30 pound bag in the overhead? It will hurt like heck if the bag slips not to mention the possibility of serious injury. Most people, unless they are very athletic, can barely hoist 20 pounds over their heads let alone 22 pounds or more and the flight attendants are NOT required or obligated to help you hoist your bag in the bin. If you struggle too much, the most they will offer you is a gate check tag and place your bag underneath the plane. So be careful and try to keep your carry on at 22 pounds or less.  ;-)
