How much weight of an item can a mobile home floor hold without issues?

I have certain things I want to put into a mobile home but am unsure how much weight a floor can hold without sagging/bowing/damage to it. I have a piano, 35 gallon fish tank, solid wood bunk bed set, and a 60 inch TV (looks like a projection but is HDTV). Should the floor hold these without creating a problem? Or do I need lighter stuff?

  1. The weight needs to be looked at in psi, pounds per square inch.

The fish tank I know is ok, the TV should be too.

The bunk set and piano I'm not sure

If the bunk set has four footings you need to figure out about how much it weighs.   For sure on the piano, these can weigh alot.

For instance, the fish tank with 4 footings will put roughly 70 pounds of weight on each foot, that should not be a problem.

  2. Those items shouldn't be a problem but I would contact the manufacturer of the home. They'll be able to provide you with the exact numbers based on the engineering.

  3. You should not have any problems. I had one and we had an old upright piano...as well as my gun safe loaded with guns and ammo....now that was heavy...maybe twice as heavy as my refrigerator when it was fully loaded.

  4. mobile homes are just like houses with wheels! i live in one!!!

    they are very stable!!

my bedroom is fine i have very expencive furniture in my bedroom! it can hold up as much as you want it to!

    trust me on this! =)

    GOOD LUCK! =)
