  1. Train moderately on Monday and Tuesday and take Wednesday off.

  2. What kind of an event? If its a 5k alternate bewteen running and walking if it is your first event. No shame in that. At least you will get a feel for the atmospere. Ya your going to have shin splints and you will be so burned out by race day you won't be able to run the entire thing without killing yourself.

  3. 3 days of training isn't going to help you.. In fact, it may actually hurt your performance. If you haven't been running and you just decided to run a couple miles, you will be sore the next few days.

  4. Don't push yourself. If you think you can do it as you are, don't risk hurting yourself so soon.

  5. I dont think it will make much difference past the second day. Good runners generally do an easy run before their event to rest their muscles and allow them to recover. So, if you train too hard you will get stronger, but not until you give your muscles time to rest and rebuild
