I hope he helps them reach the NLCS...then loses to the Cubs.  I love Maddux.

Maddux is a great pitcher and I think he will help that team a lot especially with his veteran presence and leadership.

i dont think it will make a diffrence because he isnt pitching like he did in his prime but it also could take lots of prussure off the other pitchers and also it may help because hes a veteran and that is what you need to get deep into the playoffs

I think he is there mainly to be a mentor, I love Maddux, but his best days are far behind him.

Maddux's days of quality starts are numbered. He is getting old. Dodgers may get some good pitching out of him since Penny is on DL but its not going to take them far.

I definitely think he will help by taking pressure off some of the other pitchers who are trying to get healthy again.  He will provide a great source of leadership, as well, as he did for Lowe two years ago.

I just hope the Dodgers don't give up a lot for him.  There are rumors that he'll go for 2 minor leaguers...
