  1. it wont we don't need a convention to rally our troops and light a fire under our butts

  2. the republicans hurt themselves with the VP PICK LOL

  3. None.  The dems have already lost their convention momentum, with McCain's pick for VP dominating the news.  I bet tomorrow, more people know Palin than Durbin, or who was it Obama picked ??  Oh, Biden, thats right

  4. A lot.  No one is going to be there (I mean their speakers) on opening day.

  5. if the bush administration screws it up like they did with Katina ,the south will change from red states to blue states

  6. it needs to wipe them all out.

  7. It won't.

  8. Well McCain is breathing one sigh of relief.

He wanted to uninvited Bush and Cheney......boy he must have prayed hard.

The last prayer wasn't answered about a terrorist attack, so I guess he got an evangelic like person to pray for him.................Cindy can't buy God can she?

  9. in my opinion gustav won't hurt the republicans...its actually an advantage...people are and will be in need of help and the republicans have the chance to change the thought that republicans only care about the wealthy people.

    obama 08

  10. Isn't the more important question how much is Gustav going to hurt the people in LA?  Politics will always be there after Gustav is gone.

  11. It may help them since Jindal (republican) has a chance to show they can handle this crisis unlike the democratic governor who ran it horribly during katrina.

  12. How much will Gustav hurt America ?

Time to put political parties aside

  13. Its taking attention away from them.  This should have been a chance for them to roll out their candidate and platform.  Instead they are competing with the weather channel for attention.

  14. Gustav will hurt us all----I hope the RNC does well despite this disaster.

    McCain/Palin '08

  15. well seeing as one would have to be a utter idiot to blame a political party for a hurricane, i would say it won't hurt us much at all because there are very few true idiots who vote republican in the first place..

  16. Why do you think they're canceling their convention, so they can look like they're concerned and are ready to help.

They don't want people to remember that during the last Hurricane, the republicans didn't lift a finger, and could care less, now it's just a show.  It's election season!

  17. THE CONCERN THE REPUBLICANS HAVE FOR THIS POTENTIAL DISASTER HAS BEEN QUICK REACT.THEY ARE GOING TO DELAY THE CONVENTION A FEW DAYS POSSIBLY A WEEK WHICH IS ONLY GOING TO HELP THE MCCAIN BASE NOT HURT IT.WHERE IS OBAMA/BIDEN ON THIS ONE?.

  18. Not much at all; why should it?

  19. the left taking glee in the suffering of storm victims will not play well

with voters on the gulf coast, but by all means keep it coming please!

  20. I don't think it will.. Mccain will cancle much of the GOP festivities in order to comment about it, asking Americans to help, etc... The media is already frenzied over that issue.. If anything, the hurrican is more likely to help Republicans, especially since Jindal and Nagan seem to be on top of it, as of now..

  21. Maybe its a sign from God not to vote republican.

(hey, I'm just turning the other cheek and showing how some believed how God works to punish those that deserve it ------- I am not religious, I am showing the other side of that answer)

    .

  22. to much

  23. It won't hurt them at all.  It will help them because it provides a chance for McCain and Obama to demonstrate their leadership abilities.  Enough said.

  24. A lot because, once again Bush will do nothing about it, and leave it to the mayor who is Democrat do the dirty work. If Kerry were elected he would have been there on the spot after Katrina and would be focusing on rebuilding that city instead of the pointless war out in the middle east, and since we wouldn't be spending so much money out to the middle east, New Orleans would be re-built by now. But it will effect them, because they will look like idiots when they are on the side scratching their heads, while the mayor (Democrat) says "s***w you Bush, I'm not listening to you this time" and takes control of the situation.

  25. it won't hurt them much--they are used to blowing...uh...winds, and howling rains. Why else in choosing minneapolis to hold their convention? They would take refuge in the airports' bathrooms.

  26. It is headed straight for New Orleans

Majority of people that live there are democrats

    ask them

  27. Its been a blessing:: havnt you heard? Bush and Cheney are not going to attend Monday's convention and speak""""""" so now Mc cain wont be seen with them and Obama plans for the tv adds of Bush and Mc cain hugging etc. are toast.. Obama must be pulling his hairs out.
