What exactly do you mean by 'carbon tax'? Do you mean the new rates of road tax?

If so, you need to know what your vehicle's carbon dioxide emission is. You can get it from your manufacturer's website or there's a site where you can enter your vehicle manufacturer & model and it'll return your data. Then you need to check out the bands. The best site is, as ever, the BBC.
