How much will SAT subject tests help me?

I got my scores back today for us history (690) and Bio e(730). How much will these scores help me if i give them to a school that says they consider them but do not require them, like University of Michigan Ann Arbor? Will they really consider them? What kind of edge will they give me over other students?

That's high average. It'll give you a little edge if your grades are good, too.

I'm not saying you'll be able to write your own acceptance letter for Harvard with those scores, but you should have no problem getting in to UM. Like i said, though, grades are important, and extracurriculars help
