How much will a Taxi from Toluca Airport to Ixtapan spa hotel cost & is it readily available?

There is only one official taxi company that is authorized to pick up passengers at the airport. This is true all over Mexico, not only Toluca, although it does vary from city to city. They have set rates and for a trip as far as Ixtapan de la Sal you might be able to pay at the taxi stand at the airport. I do not know actually how much it would cost, but if you take the "authrized" taxi from the Mexico City airport to Toluca it is over $1000 pesos so you can probably expect to pay that much from Toluca to Ixtapan which is actually farther and a more dangerous drive. You could also just take a taxi from the airport to the bus terminal and then take a bus to Ixtapan. there are several departures in the course of the day that would be less expensive.

I have spent a lot of time in Toulca and you can hire a cab to take you anywhere you want to go.  Im pretty sure that you are gong to have to take a cab into Tenengo Del Valle and cantch another car to Ixtapan.
