How much will a shop charge to replace brakes?

i drive a 2004 mazda6 and i want (need) to replace all the brakes on my car. i think the front wheels will need new rotors also (the car wobbles when i hit the brakes). about what can i expect to pay at an independent auto repair shop for parts and labor?

  2. 4 wheel brakes and front rotors should fall some where between $400.00 to $550.00. Most cars do not need brakes on all 4 wheels at the same time, although some people recommend that they be done at the same time, I am not of that belief.  

  3. Check with you mechanic if you can bring your own parts. I'd get the pads and rotors from www.highspeedautoparts.com since they have cheaper prices. The take those to your mechanic for installation. Good luck.
