  1. From your other questions, it looks like your trying to work out your earnings/spendings if you lived in Canberra. You are asking very good/specific questions tho so i hope we can help.

Anyway, your food budget for the average day in Canberra may be something like this.

    Eating out at restaurants/cafes: between $29 - $56

    Breakfast: $5 (McDonalds) - $15 (nice cafe)

Lunch: $5 (fast food) - $12 (sandwich + drink from cafe)

    Dinner: $15 (RSL/club food) - $25 (restaurant)

Snack: $4 (muffin, chips, milkshake, etc)

It would be cheaper to purchase your food from a grocery store though. For a single person i would say the average WEEKLY grocery bill would total around $70 - $100+ (keep in mind it will vary alot as you will buy some things like jam, or peanut butter that might last you a few weeks)

With lots of nice fresh fruit and vegetables and meat around $100+?

I know people that eat packet noodles, and they only cost about 50c each! I wouldn't call that a 'meal'.. but if your desperate you can do that!

This is just a very rough estimate, but it will give you an idea of what it will cost to eat here! =)
