I think that is a question that can best be answered by the people at the welfare office. Try to get set up with a work program thru them. Good Luck.

what about child support too?  Not sure which state you live in...but you each state and county has their own website and you can access it and check.  I am sure there are other circumstances involved to determine what you get.  In Ohio it is also mandatory to collect child support and the Child Support Agency helps with this.    Doesn't mean you will get ALL your child support...unfortunately  those that need to pay can get out of it by paying only 5 bucks for a good faith effort.  IT SUCKS as the children suffer.

We also have a free milk and cheese program here...WIC...not sure you if you do..but check into it.  I am sure the agency will help you figure out what you need.

and I agree...the idiots here that make comments about you needing HELP should be reported and not allowed on a computer.  We do have to put up with them all the time though...so grow a thick skin.  You will need it.  Your children come first...take care of them and remember my favorite saying. Don't argue with idiots...they will drag you down to their level and beat you up with experience.

It all depends on where you live. I live in PA and I have a family of four and I get cash assistance and foodstamps and I only get $490 a month! You just need to go to your case worker and talk to them. Good luck hun, cause us women out there really need the help. Wish there was more help out there.

It all depends on the County and State you are in, they have their set allowances.  You just have to go in and do the interview.  In California, they make you go to their training thing and look for work, in order to get Cash Aid.  Be prepared for THAT!  It sucks.  I'll never ask for Cash Aid again.  Luckily I got training for In Home Care Giver.  Good work in that field.  Been doing it since I got divorced 8 years ago.

well, I got beat to the jackass answer of paying you per kid, and the guy that said to get your tubes tied was pretty outa line.

Anyways I cant answer your question but like answer number one I'll talk to the big man upstairs and see if he's willing to give you a hand.
