‘Climate change’ over ‘global warming’

As you can see, most on their side of the fence now prefer the Climate change term, I think its due to most of them are on board the Obama band wagon and they just like to hear the word ‘change’ a lot.

So lets all remember to keep using, Global warming, and use it as much as possible. Maybe after a while, we can even witness one of them getting so upset over it, that their head will just blow up, like an over inflated balloon. Wouldn’t that be just awesome!?!!!!!!

  1. Use whatever term you like, the label is not important.  Just understand that the term Global Warming includes processes that lead to cooling in some places.  Also understand that there are multiple processes at work, some cause the average atmosphere temperature to warm, some cause it to cool.  The warming forces are far stronger, hence the fear of potential disasters especially by the years 2050 or 2070.  GW is the more common term but it can be confusing and Climate change better describes the entire body of related science.  In any case, the labeling is not important.  I encourage you to keep reading the many available sources that describe processes and forces that influence the climate.

  2. Prof L:  or to paraphrase judge judy,  "science changes,  stupid is forever."

  3. Actually it was Republican strategist Frank Luntz who first proposed that Republican politicians use the term 'climate change' instead of 'global warming' because he thought it wasn't as scary.

Of course, Luntz also now accepts man-made global warming.

So you're behind the times on both counts.  Personally I don't care which term you use.  Humans cause global warming which causes climate change, so they're basically interchangeable.

  4. I think that they want to use this term to avoid confusing simple people like yourself. Global warming leads to more erratic weather, etc, and is very complicated. Some might get confused by warming actually involving cooling, so the scientists have decided for the most part to use the term climate change as it is less confusing and does a better job of explaining the phenomena. That's the great thing about science, it is modified as new ideas and understanding come about.

  5. HECK YEAH!!!!!

  6. YES!!! That would be awesome. But you'd have to stay pretty far away, you might burn yourself from hot air that will come out

  7. Global warming and Climate change are fine, but the term global warming is preferred by most because of the fact that the globe is indeed warming up. Ususally, when the sun shines on earth, the earth traps some heat, and the rest goes back into space. But Because of pollution, the atmosphere is trapping more heat from the sun, and the earth is getting warmer, and the ice caps are metling, changing the oceans currents and making sea levels rise. Not to mention the weather change. That is how "Global warming" term was even created and used.

  8. The reason why they like the Climate Change term is

    .. . ..

It is not going in one direction of change

    UP in temp.

    .. . ..

Yell but what would they be saying if we were starting to have winter snow fall on the beaches of Hawaii in December

    .. . ..

Would they like the Hot way of the temp rise then

So you see the problem is that Global Warmning is in one direction of the change going

    .. .. ..

    ---REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING ---

    .. .. ..

You can satisfy some of the people some of the time but you can not satasify all the peple all the time

    .. .. .

Is proven still true for the human race
