How much will it coast to put the tags and title in my name and then get out of the contract with the insurance company so i can put it under my name?

  1. Not alot if its from family memeber to family memeber, Its only like a 15 dollar late fee for 2 months and then a quarter after that.

  2. Try to use google to find some related links or you could try to use answer engines like yahoo answer or answer.com to find some relevant questions. If you like some direct resource, here is a good one from my own experience.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  3. go to the MVD in your area to find out

  4. 12,000 dollars

  5. Well if the ins. hasent been paid since Jan, you most likely have no coverage and therefore have no "contract". i recommend you find an ins. quote on the internet, get that taken care of. then  get the title signed over to you by whoever owns it and go to your local government tag office and give them the signed title (here its $20) to transfer to your name and get a tag (another $20).You may have to get an inspection first.(another $20)

  6. when i changed states, it cost me around 150 to transfer the title, get new tags, and register it in New Jersey.

Your dmv webpage should have a complete list of fees someplace on it.
