How much will it cost me in France?

I need to know how much will it cost me for food and transportation in paris for only 1 week ?

The answer covers a very wide range depending on your personal choices but a reasonable budget for someone who is looking to economize but not travel for the absolute smallest amount possible would be an average 40-50 euros a day. For a full seven day week that would be 280-350 euros.

This means a simple breakfast of coffee and a roll in a local cafe, the main meal of day at an inexpensive restaurant such as those on the rue Mouffetard, and supper eaten from a sandwich shop or cafe or an inexpensive street stand.

For transportation it means buying a carnet of 10 metro tickets and using them sparingly, choosing to walk to many destinations.

Of course it it possible to spend less but there is little point in going to Paris and then attempitng to live like a monk on a fast.

One suggestion is to eat at the cafe's sandwich shops. There's also a string of great asian food courts near St Paul Metro stop. A hotel is a decent area in Paris is gonna cost about $100 a nite. The Baguette (French sandwich) is quite substancial. I also went to the local grocery store for drink and eats apples --whatever! Lodging is gonna be the most exp cost.>>> wish I was going! Ave a good time,....Oh yeah,. they have these crepe stands all over and they are cheap! You can get one with either chocolate or ham and cheese about 2 Euros.
