I am looking at the possibility of undertaking a second degree as I look to change careers. How much are typical fees? Can you receive any financial assistance for a second degree?

As for federal financial aid, the answer is usually yes in this case.  If you have already attained a bachelors degree you would not be eligible for Pell grant funding, but may have some eligibility remaining for Stafford loans.  It depends how much of the aggregate limit you have already borrowed against.  

If you are going ahead into a grad degree program then you are eligible for additional Stafford loans and increased aggregate limits.  Apply through the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and then talk to your school's financial aid office about eligibility.
