How much will i expect to spend if I want to concieve but have no inusurance? I do not want IVF or anything invasive. I have PCOS and clomid(50mg) and Metformin i hope will do the trick. Not to mention ultrasounds, blood work and office visits. Those of you in this predicament and using scientific means to concieve do you have insurance? If so or not how much am I gonna go through medically and money wise?

  1. I have had 8 inseminations so far. I have insurance but only a small portion has been covered. I have already spent $13,000 and am not pregnant yet. It can be very costly but I certainly cannot say not to pursue it if it's what your heart desires (as in my case). Best of luck!

**I certainly did not jump to this decision either. I work very hard to cover these expenses and have managed to build a savings for any future costs for the baby. I think it's really insensitive to judge someone's decision without knowing facts.

  2. I am not trying to be mean here, but you need to stop and think of what you are doing. Are you really that selfish that you would try to bring a baby into the world without having insurance for proper pre-natal care? Or the fact that you wouldn't be covered for your delivery? And what about the child's welfare? Are you going to spend the money to have the child insured? You should really be thinking about the after effects, and the costs of raising a child. Food, diapers, clothing, bedding, etc. It sounds like you haven't been thinking it through thoroughly, and you need to be saving money and not trying to get pregnant until you are stable enough to properly care for a child.

  3. Labor is generally around 3-4000.  That's for the entire LABOR part and the aftercare.  The whole 9 months before then during the pregnancy can generally be setup on a payment plan if you are intending to do all the visits at the same OBGYN.

  4. I am not going to  say I am one hundred percent sure about the answer.Besides it really depends on the personal feelings.SO it would better for you to find yourself. Here is a good resource.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  5. Way too much to take on without insurance!

  6. My costs were about $5,000 and the birth of my first child was $17,000. It is best to grab some health insurance prior to doing this unless you don't care about your credit rating.
