Or to just completely get rid of it. I understand that it depends on size, but does any one have a ball park figure??

  1. A lot you may want to just wreck the sides in. You know the walk and other stuff and fill it with dirt. Much cheaper.

  2. You don't want to know, with the price of cement now. Go with dirt.

  3. I know this isn't an answer to your question. But, can I ask why do you want to get rid of it?? What kind of condition is it in???

Might want to think long and hard. Pools are EXPENSIVE and can be a real plus to have. All you have to do is know how to maintain it.

    Check out http://www.troublefreepools.com

    Good luck!

  4. Post a 'clean fill wanted' sign in front of your house.

  5. Measure the pool to find the cubic cubic feet or yards.

Once you have the volume phone the local ready mix companies for a quote. If the pool is easy access for a cement truck the ready mix companies may fill it for nothing, (if you are not in a hurry) They sometimes need a place to dispose of surplus concrete.

Also' you may be able to obtain free soil fill, sometimes construction companies need a place to dispose of excess soil.
