And is there anyway to tell if it's real myself. I put it under a blacklight. The internet said blue but it was more purple than blue but I think it's real. I am not sure where it came from. It was found while remodeling an 18th century home in downtown Savannah, GA and is the square princess cut, I believe 1 carat.

  1. Most jewelers in your local mall have a diamond sensor pen. If you walk in and ask them to check it, they will plug in the "pen" and touch it to the top of your diamond. From what the "pen" says you will know if it is real. This is not a service that you should have to pay for. The only time you have to pay is if you want it appraised. Zales jeweler is a good one to check out, and they will clean your ring for free too!

  2. nothing it cost you nothing if you go to walmat go the jewery section and say how much would this dioman im wearing around i want  anew one and they cna tell and will tell you how much its worth

  3. Its actually free sweetie...You can even go to any fine jeweler in your local mall they can tell you upon your request...

  4. You can undergo a Fog Test. Just fog the diamond blowing air from mouth. If diamond holds the fog, then it is fake because real diamonds disperse heat quickly. This test may not be reliable due to oil layers and dirt on the diamond stone. Make sure you can clean diamond before doing this test. And if still u don't get any results then u can visit any jeweler he can test it for without any charge.

  5. It shouldn't cost you anything to find out if your rock is real provided you go to a reputable jeweler.  Appraisals usually cost extra.
