  1. to do right and have top of the line equipment about $75,000 for first year with no sponsors

  2. It depends on what part of the country you are talking about and which series. It will be at least $150,000 for good equipment, a tow rig and traveling expenses.  More if you don't spend the money wisely or tear lots of stuff up.

  3. If you have to ask, you can't afford it. Just kidding. I raced mini sprints a few years ago and even they were very expensive. What ever price you come up with, double it and you wil be in the ball park. Get into the 358 series to get started or maybe check to see if there are a claimer class. Would be a lot less expensive and just as competitive, because everyone is running on a lower budget. The larger engine classes, you can go as fast as your pocket book will let you. Just remember, it's hard to out run cubic dollars.

  4. Too much!!! Have as much fun and race for trophies in a entry level class. 4 cyl?

  5. Buying a new rolling chassis and motor will run as low as 30,000$ all the way up to $80,000. Throw in a some sort of hauler. I'd go open hauler for about $1500. A pull truck, which would have to be a 3/4 ton if you're traveling more than 20 minutes from your house. You're looking anywhere between 40,000- 150,000+. Buy a used chassis and motor for about $10,000-$18,000. You'll save huge amounts of money. It's inevitable, you will tear something up, and purchasing tens of thousands of premier equipment and tearing that up will suck in the first year.

  6. Not sure about the price of a sprint car, but a good tow vehicle/hauler set up can easily cost $100,000 by itself depending on what you purchase. One engine will probably cost over $20,000. Consider the price of spare wings, tools, tires, and spare parts, and it's already probably near $300,000 and you haven't even travelled to a race track yet. Then add in the cost of a small crew to maintain the car, food, entry fees, lodging, and fuel.

  7. Need money for maintenance crew, transportation, hotel/motel living expenses unless you can find a house sponsor.

    LOTS OF CASH and CREDIT!
