It depends on whether the person you are speaking to is an Orange UK customer who happens to be in Ireland or whether the person is an Orange Ireland customer. It also depends on where you are phoning from and what phone tariff you are on

If the person is an Orange UK customer, you will be charged whatever your phone operator charges to phone a UK mobile. However, Orange will charge him for receiving a call outside the UK. In other words, you, as the caller, do not get charged any more because he happens to be outside the UK; he gets charged for the international call as he is not in the UK.

If he is an Orange Ireland customer, you will get charged whatever your phone operator charges to call Ireland.

There is no orange network in the republic of ireland, i assume it will transfer to our meteor network.

there is an orange network in northern ireland , the only reason i know this is because i remember reading that they got into a bit of bother with locals on the falls road in belfast when they had a billboard with their slogan "the future is bright the future is orange" . Someone did not do there homework there,
