  1. No one can tell you. Since you are 16, you will have to get insurance under your parent's name. The price will differ with:

    -parent's driving record

    -parent's credit

-type of car (theft rate, what type of alarm system, if it's a sports car or not, crash rate, how old or how new, etc)

    -insurance company

There are so many factors. Go to a comparison site like http://www.insurance.com/auto.aspx see what it comes out to.

  2. Becca J, For car insurance the quick way to get a low quote is do a policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same zip code, auto make/model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get accurate comparison. To get mulitple auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Aut... and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.

  3. Just get a quote here and you'll get an idea http://www.moneysavecenter.com

They are like flight prices, go for a dear one, pay a lot... go for a cheap one, pay little.

Some people go for the first they find and pay through their teeth, some don't. There are tons of places that you can buy insurance from and it's free to ask for their price.

It's up to you what you do.

  5. Sorry, no idea since I have no clue which company insures your parents.  At 16, you can't enter a financial agreement, which means you can't have your own insurance policy.  Have your parents call the agent and ask how much it will be to add you to their policy, then you have an exact figure.
