How much will my texts cost me??!!??

i have an o2 contract phone. normally for texting in the uk i have unlimited texting. however, while i was in the US..i was texting home to the uk quite a lot...how much does it cost to text home roughly? and do i pay to recieve?

Like 25p to send texts to UK, it doesn't cost to receive texts.
