I am travelling 170 miles on monday.

I drive a small, 1 litre micra (2000) and was wondering about how much it will cost?

I will be mainly on national speedlimit roads and am travelling fairly early in the morning so wont hit too much traffic.

  1. Hello,

(ANS) The question may appear simple but the answer is complex because it is determined by numerous factors:- Its a mathematical question & answer.

    a) Assuming your car does 44 MPG (6.4 liters per 100Kilometers).

    b) The distance = 170 miles = 273.53 kilometers

    c) thats 19.3 liters of petrol per 300 kilomters

    d) 19.2 liters of fuel @ a price of £108 per liter of unleaded petrol

    TOTAL COST = £20.74

  2. I think i'd go on 10p/mile, so about £17 maybe a little less.

  3. 4 gallons at steady 60 .

  4. i sometimes do a round trip of around 150 miles and put around 15-20 pounds worth in my car. its also a 1 litre engine, same age as yours.

  5. About £25  possibly

  6. This question depends on many factors.

will you be driving with window open?

how much weight will be in the car?

    how do you drive?

how many mpg does the car do?

what is the cost of petrol at the station you use?

    do you use the aircon?

what is the risk of you being stuck at traffic lights etc? causing u to brake alot?

  7. I reccomend using the following site to work out how much fuel consumption will be. I use it for all my big trips and works out pretty accurately
