How much will the loss of Osi Umenyiora affect the Giants?

I think the power of big blue's defense lost alot with Strahans retirement, and it will collapse without Osi and Strahan. The best pass rush in the league just lost all its weapons. No post season for the G-men this year. My dream of Giants supremacy has ended.

well lets see if the big guy says he will come out of retirement then not as much but just his persents in the locker room and on the feild will be felt..i'd have to say yes its going to hurt

It will definitely hurt the defense and the pass rush.  I'm not throwing up the white flag, but the offense is going to have to pick up the slack.

They announced that they're switching Kiwanuka back to defensive end which should help....as long as it doesn't weaken the LB's too much.

I am a die hard giants fan and I have to say they might be in trouble but if Strahan comes out of retierment then there might be a chance if not Kewinka will be the other defensive end with Tuck

I don't know what the big deal is.. He's good, but not as good as people make him out to be.  Yeah, he had 13 sacks last year, but 6 of them came in the game where the Giants sacked the Eagles 12 times, also the fact that Umenyiora was going up against 2nd year tackle Winston Justice.  Overrated.

Well, it's certainly a significant loss because he was a vocal leader on that defense. If they are smart they'll upgrade a player from the practice team so they don't have to waist any money grabbing a free agent.

they still have a chance to make the playoffs. hey they are the super bowl champs! but i don't expect them to get to the big game again this year.
