Its kind of far off now but predictions for it don't sound good. Gas is right around $4 per gallon now. It Gas was about $2.45 per gallon before Katrina and about $3.30 right after. After Katrina the price of gas went up about 30% so if gas goes up the same (about 30%) that puts the average around $5.20 after Gustav if it hits hard. Who has their pocketbooks ready?

  1. It will go up 38% in 3 months

  2. Just another excuse by our government and oil companies to give the screws to the American Public.Too Sunny, Gas goes up,Too Stormy, gas goes up. They have an excuse for everything. They haven't used the Alaskan Pipeline recently.....That's next. It's pretty bad that you pay the same thing for a gallon of gas as you do for a gallon of Milk.Bread and eggs are on their way up there too!!! Cereal is more than gas ,go figure that one out?

  3. Robbery without even using a gun.

  4. I heard that gas is going to be 7 dollars a gallon by 2012. I do think it will go up alot after the hurricane. It will probably be around 5 dollars or so a gallon

  5. Gas did not go up because Katrina hit, gas went up b/c the oil companies no that we will pay for it. The whole thing about Katrina making the gas go up was a hoax...trust me, I got gas the next day.
