I have a Bissell ProHeat Turbo Upright Deep Cleaner that I paid almost $300 for and want to pawn it because I don't use it at all and I could use the money right now. How much do you think I can get for it at a pawn shop?

  1. Generally speaking,

    - Any new item you try to sell depreciates. For housewares, you're looking at probably half, so if you sell it, let's give you the benefit of the doubt. $175.

    - A pawn broker uses this as his baseline. So if he can sell it for $175, the pawn (loan) value on that is about 1/3 of resale value. This goes up and down, for example, high resale value items like guns, you might get as much as half resale value, smaller items, 1/4 value or less.

So unfortunately, you'll be doing very well if you get $50 - $65 out of it in a pawn. You may pay as much as $60 - $80 to get it back, depending on how long it sits in pawn.
