  1. It depends on what you buy and where you buy it. I went to Venice today and just got back home. There are outdoor markets near Rialto and between the train station and Rialto where you can get a cup of fresh fruit for 1.50 euro. I got one that was melon and grapes at one and strawberries, blueberries and raspberries at the other market. You could easily spend 100 euro for lunch - for example at Quadry in Piazza San Marco. I had a traditional bruschetta for 9 euro in Campo San Stefano. The restaurant I had though of having lunch in was around 65 euro for a 4 course lunch, but I wasn't near there at lunchtime. I noticed that the McDonalds was advertising 1 euro hamburgers. (Not recommending this - just pointing out the option). I spent about 20 euro for dinner - pasta and wine with a coffee afterward. If you sit in the cafes in Piazza San Marco, a coffee can cost you 8 - 10 euro. You pay for table service and if the musicians are playing, you pay additional for that. You can also buy coffee at a walkup window, sit on the steps, and listen to the music for 1.50 euro. A day pass on the vaporetto is 16 euro. http://www.actv.it/english/home.php I would budget at least 70 euro per day. You could spend a lot more than that if you want though.

  2. I think like about 500-800$
