How much would I need to bring (spending money) for an 8 day/7 night trip to Disney?

We are two adults, and a 2.5 year old. Our trip is basically paid for, we are staying at the Animal Kingdom, w/ magic your way with park hopper. We also have the Deluxe Dining Plan. So I guess the only thing we would need money for is some groceries, tips, souvenirs and little things like that. I figured about $200 a day, but that seems like a lot for a trip already paid for.

  1. Sounds like a great vacation.  If you stay in Disney $200 sounds about right. Just remember that there are plenty of other things to do outside of Disney so take your credit card with you.

  2. Actually $200.00 sounds pretty high for a trip that is paid for including the meal plan.

I figure $100 on groceries for the whole trip (you will just need drinks and snacks for your room - as all meals are already paid for)

Add another $200 for extra snacks or drinks in the park.  You may or may not need a pick-me-up in between meals.  But inside the park sodas and snacks are priced similar to a movie theater - so figure $20 everytime you need a couple of sodas and hotdogs all around.

Tips - this will vary depending on where you eat, but figure $50.00 a day to be on the safe side.

Souvenirs - this will depend on what you want to buy.  Or how many friends and family you are bringing home gifts.  Or if you buy everyone magnets vs t-shirts vs custom Disney art.  You aren't required to purchase souvenirs, so the amount you spend will be completely up to you.  Word of warning though:  if you bring it, you will probably spend it.  Disney is good at that, haha.

*** This estimates I have listed are on the high side.  You will probably not need that much, but better to be safe than sorry.

  3. When I went to Disneyland, I went for about the same time, but I went to all the parks, and i know through ALL the parks I spent about $1,000 on souveiner type things(lunches too), so in my opinion, I would say for souveiner's, (They can get pretty expensive!!)  maybe $160 a day??? That should take care of it!! But if you want to make sure you have enough a day, bring a bit of extra money!! Best of luck in Disneyland!! It is really fun and you will have a great time!

  4. I think you will be fine.........

  5. Umm alot! To be honest, $200 a day is about right!

  6. $200 a day is more than enough if you've got the dining plan.  If you spend that much on souvenirs you won't have enough space to bring it all back home!

If you've already got most of your food paid for, Disney is only as expensive as you make it.  I'm sure you could get by with $50 or $60 bucks a day but it'd sure be more fun with more.

  7. I would say about $200.00 a day sounds about right.  I don't think you will have to spend that much, but you never know when your away form home.  Better be safe than sorry.  I would use a ATM card instead of cash.

  8. with $200 aday you might come up short I know Ive been there 22 times
