  1. Worth may be too much a subjective word,

But in economics its value will be determined by the market.

Market prices are those prices at which things actually sell or have been selling, not the asking price.

You may think that the necklace is worth more, the buyer may think it is worth less.  If your asking price is such that it sits for sale without actually being sold, than it is overpriced relative to what the market perceives its value to be

In the short term, the necklace's value, not worth, is what comparable necklaces are selling for, its future value we cannot know, the market will decide.

  2. Basically, your necklace is worth whatever someone will pay you for it.  However, because it is gold, it cannot be worth less than the amount of gold in it.

Weigh your necklace in grams, multiply that number by 19, and divide the result by 24. (That is because it's 19K) The number you have now is the number of grams of 24K gold are in your necklace.

Convert that number to troy ounces by dividing it by 31.1 .  Gold is priced in troy ounces.

The price of gold changes constantly, but you can check it online anytime:

The price at the moment is $867.60 / troy ounce.  By the time you read this, it will have changed.
