  1. Depends on color/cut/clarity just as others have said. I saw a VS1 2ct G in color and it was $15,000. BUT if you learn the 4C's you can then check out online what prices the range from in the specs you want and go from there. http://www.bluenile.com has a whole thing on learning about the 4c's. Check it out.

  2. 12,000 maybe

  3. Learn about diamonds before you even think about purchasing one. It's very important to know the 4Cs to make sure you're getting what you pay for.

After that you'll have a good idea of the cost factors involved.

    Good luck!

  4. SI means "slightly included" which is a low rating in terms of clarity.  It will visibly (with the naked eye) affect the look of the diamond and it's sparkle.

A low quality 2 carat diamond will cost your around $10,000.  You pay more for the size than for any other quality rating.  You could get a very high quality 1 carat diamond for that price instead, and the better the quality, the more the sparkle andbrilliance.  A cheap/low quality 2 carat diamond will look like a dud.

Colour and cut are also very important to the amount of fire and sparkle.  The CUT is the most significant factor to determining the sparkle.  It is NOT personal preference of the shape as another posted said, but the QUALITY of the cut (how many facets and how it reflects the light) which determines how it sparkles.

If you want to buy a good, beautiful diamond, worry less about the carat size (you will pay more for that than any other factor) and more about the quality.  Go for a smaller diamond with a better quality.  It will look way better.

I have a .6 carat diamond with the best cut you can get and I get approached by strangers with complements on how sparkley and beautiful my ring is.

    Good Luck!

  5. It all depends my friend. My wife's 1.10 carat colorless plat ring cost 9K. Keep in mind Clarity, Color, Carat, and Cut. You can certainly buy a 1K or 2K ring but the color will be close to yellow with a foggy stone.

I suggest you invest some time reading about the four C's.

  6. Well it depends on the three C's (cut, clarity, and class) If you buy something low in those three C's then it will be cheaper. Once you figure out the three C's then you can figure out the price. If i had to take a guess maybe 11,000.

  7. SI means "slight inclusion" - it means there's a flaw in the diamond that you can see with the naked eye.  In other words, the quality of the diamond is not as good as it could be.

You definitely need to learn what your dealing with before making a purchase like this.  Carot weight is actually the least important of the four C's in diamonds.

Clarity - this is you SI; it could be VVSI (very, very), VSI, SI, or I.  In combination with Color, this is where you get the sparkle.

Color - Diamonds come in multiple colors, and multiple shades of those colors. The clearer the color, the more sparkle.

Cut - Basically a personal preference.  Round, Oval, Princess, Square...

Carot - the "weight" of the diamond.

Google "4 Cs of diamonds" and I'm sure a bunch of sites will come up, so you can learn all about diamonds and what you're getting for the money...

  8. I agree with the other posters... It would cost quite a bit, and definitely do some research before you buy anything!  Even go talk to some jewelers for info, and look on the internet.  Also, if you buy from a manufacturer, it will cost a lot less than buying it from a regular jewelry store.  Good luck!  :)
