    Seriously, that's just a wee bit too specialized. You wouldn't have any clients if you specialized that minutely. In general, though, vets do fairly well if they don't specialize in a single, endangered species.


  2. Since most pandas are in China, most vets that work with pandas are there. And since the urban average wage is China was 9422 yuan = US$1378 pa that gives you a good idea of expected salary.

    However if you want to know about the few individual veterinarians, or practises who count a lucky zoo on their client list, in USA their salary could be a little higher. (These guys are called exotic vets!)

    With a good resume $35-45 per hour.

    Meaning in 30 hours (a week) that person could earn the same as the Chinese worker earns in a year.
