How much would a bearded dragon cost? and some other questions ;)?

I heard they shed but how often?

I live in the US so us money values ;)

And I have a few nutricional sites but other sites with faq's or something would be helpful.

Around how much would it cost to buy everything new?

And monthly/yearly costs would be helpful.

They are legal to have where I live, but i'm not planning on getting one for awhile.

I just love bearded dragons and learning about them seems like a fun thing to do.

Juvenile bearded dragons cost $60 at Petsmart and Petco. If you go to a reptile expo, I have heard that you can get better prices because of vendors trying to beat the competition. I just did all the math myself and the total for all the equipment came over two-hundred dollars. I combined prices from Petsmart with the good deals I found at petmountain.com.

I actually work at Petsmart, so I get to handle them quite often. They are very personable creatures, and I have never seen one with a bad temper (but have heard of them). The young ones are sensitive and I wouldn't recommend buying one unless they are at least six inches long.

~The tank should be cleaned out completely monthly, but spot-cleaned daily. Water dishes should be washed daily as well.

there about 60 at a pet store but you can go to a breeder and get some really cool color morphs and you know they were raised well
