  1. idk its confused

  2. as a general rule of thumb a 1000  colones bill is the euivelent to $2.

dont worry too much about the exact conversion as log as you are getting in the vicinity of $2=1000 colones

  3. A dollar in Costa Rica is 414-501Costa Rican Colons it depends on they Dollr-C.A Colons converter u use it varies so yeah..

  4. 501.03 Costa Rica Colons (CRC)

Go to the website below to use a calculator to calculate the conversion.

If you want to know what you can buy with 501.03 Colons, you will have to go to Costa Rica and go shopping!  I bet you can get a whole lot more than you can in the USA.

  5. ¢499.50 is approx. $1 in Scotiabank (Private Bank, www.scotiabankcr.com; the important is the "venta", that means how much colones the bank sells u for $1), and ¢498 is $1 with Costa Rica National Bank (National Bank, www.bncr.fi.cr, the same thing, look the "venta"), but the insititution who gives the limits of the buy and sell rates is Central Bank of Costa Rica (Banco Central de Costa Rica, www.bccr.fi.cr). With $500 1 McDonald's cheeseburger or 5 Wendy's Nuggets; Big Mac Combo: the sandwich, medium fries and midium coke is ¢2.200 ($4.4). A Costa Rican tipical breakfast called Gallo Pinto (Rice, Beans, Cilantro, ...) with egg and coffee as beverage is almost ¢1.500 ($3) and a flight to Costa Rica from Fort Lauderade, Dallas, or Houston in low season is approx. ¢250.000 ($500).

An easy way to know the exchange rate:

US Price x 500 = Costa Rican Price

Costa Rican Price / 500 = US Price.

Big things, as cars or houses, are sold in US Dollars.

  6. A dollar in Costa Rica is 414 Colones. But you can't buy much with it, just a soda or some gum.... ( is not much)
