How much would a ferry ride cost from Mayan Riviera to Cozumel or Cancun?

My husband and I will be in Puerta Aventura for a week and we are thinking of taking the ferry to stay in either Cozumel or Cancun for a few extra days at the end of our trip. How much does it cost and can you take all your luggage on with you?

Cancun(is not an island...the Hotel Zone is on an island connected to the city by bridges) is a city north of Puerto Aventura and Cozumel is an island off of Playa del Carmen (which is just north of your resort).

Cozumel is a large island that is known for it diving and scuba diving...there is a large population of folks that actually live there year around...there are schools, churches like a normal place to live.

To answer your question: take the ferry to Cozumel it is a great place to visit (from Playa del Carmen- Ultramar Ferry Dock) and yes take your luggage. There are some very large resorts there. This is the ferry information
