  1. You need to tell us for what grades & subjects.  Do you want a public, or private program/school.  Do you want to know HS'ing curricula?

A "HS'ing program" (this is a very broad statement) can be nearly free, using libraries and free online sites, to costing 1000's of dollars.

Most online high school courses start at $350/semester/course and go up from there.

One of these virtual school options ("Free" public school at home) in VA could work for you:

  2. Homeschooling doesn't have to cost anything at all. Especially if you're near DC - you can visit all the Smithsonian museums and everything for free!

Take a look at the Robinson Curriculum -

There are also very good homeschooling groups and you can find other kids your age to spend time with and learn things with.

  3. The cost depends on what programs you choose and how much you want to spend.

If there is a virtual public school option in your state, you could attend that for free.

If you homeschool under  your parents leading, you can save money buy using the library and purchasing used materials.  There are also some free curricula available online.  Here are some other tips for affordable homeschooling:

    Good luck!
