UM it depends. i got my golden retriever puppy from a breeder and he was 500 dollars. From the shelters or pet stores i guess they are a lot cheaper.

Please do not ever buy a dog from a store or a breeder. Shelters are full of healthy, wonderful dogs who will DIE if someone doesn't give them a home. If you are really set on a specific breed, go to PetFinder.com and type in your preferences. I'm sure you can find a Golden in your area for just a small adoption fee and you'll be saving a life!

From a very responsible breeder who does all the heath & temperament testing on their dogs. 900 dollars & up.

From a BYB who does no health testing, anywhere from 250 up!

It depends. Do you want an AKC? If so, about $1,500. If you want to do the humane thing and save a life, its about $100 dollars.

I have two beautiful labs that are rescue dogs. I just had to pay the adoption fee and they are the best dogs ever!!! Rescue a dog it is worth it: )

You can often get them from a shealter for next to nothing. But if you want one from a breeder, make sure he is registered to a kennel club. CKC, AKC, UKC. They can be anywhere from $100-600 for a registed pup. Check your local paper in classifieds.

Depends on the area you are buying it from. We  bought ours from an AKC certified breeder in New York. She is a female, 100% pure bred Golden Retriever and she was 950 and a 6 hour drive to get her. She was worth it though. You can't go wrong with a Golden!
