  1. About 25-30 Euros per person for something decent.

  2. Depends which of the arrondisements that your in

If your looking for cheap meals tho you cant beat The Latin Quarter (just south of Notre Dame)

Nearly every restaurant has an offer on   -  3 course meals for between 8 and 15 euros!

Failing that the crepes are always cheap

For a decent meal outside the latin quarter your talking around 20 - 30 euros per head and beyond!!!

    Bon Appetit!

  3. So long as you don't eat on the Champs Elysees then you can find something reasonable.  Paris has much variety and the brasseries are great.

  4. take out a bank loan

  5. I would ask her but she's not out of jail yet

  6. Anything between about 20 Euros and infinity... went to a Michelin Restaurant where the main courses started at 200 euros......so its up to you, can always get good food, so for gods sake go to a fast food place...try a nice little Bistro cafe on a side street. especially one not full of tourists.

  7. Take extra cash just for food alone! you must have a good job(or your partner)to eat in paris.....there is a few cheaper places to eat..not many..

  8. Depends on where ya go!  But you would think a decent place should be priced reasonable...

  9. meal for two in paris...

    dinner...

    starter

    maincourse

    dessert

    wine

    hmmm.. € 80

but you also can eat € 130 each if you like

    or

just take a crepes and nutella - just for € 5

  10. if you have to ask, boy, you can't afford it.

stick with something in your budget:

    white castle

  11. depends where you go!

  12. You can put together a meal with a roasted chicken, some fruit, a bagette and some wine for less than most restaurants would serve you dinner.

  13. the set menus (called prix fixe) are not just in the latin quarter they are all over paris and all over france.

and the centre of paris is like the centre of every other big city - they sit there waiting to take money off the tourists.

if the shop next door to the restaurant sells rolex watches, don't expect a cheap meal. go half a mile away from the big shops and prices drop very quickly!

8 to 10 euros for a prix fixe is certainly possible in lots of places; maybe a starter from a choice of 2, 1 main from 3 and a desert...

and it will be simple and good in my experience.

  14. LOTS & LOTS

there is the cost of going there and staying over

    to much

  15. There are reasonably priced good meals in Paris. Adam Gopnik, who wrote about Paris in the New Yorker, mentioned that what is surprising about Paris food is how wonderful a cheap meal is. My experience in Paris is less extensive, but about the same.

Look up a place called Chez Paul. They even have a web site. It has great food for fairly reasonable prices.

Walk through a neighborhood and sit down at a table at a cafe. See what you get. Don't be too afraid to try something different. I won't eat snails, but I know people who have and who think they are great.

Even the pizza that you buy by the slice on the street is great. Enjoy!

By the way, even at a bistro like Chez Paul expect slower service than you are used to. They believe a meal should be a relaxing experience and they give you plenty of time to relax. I liked this aspect of Parisian dining.
