How much would a rail pass be for 1 adult and child (age 14) for a period of time in Italy?

We don't know how long we'll be staying yet, probably between a week and two weeks. We are on a very tight budget though, and will be staying in Family Hostels. So the rail tickets/pass have to be super cheap. Also, does anyone know if they have concessions?

Speak to your travel agent who should be able to advise, perhaps even Tourist Information, you may even find the information you require by simply searching on line.
