  1. Please, please, please... do not get a pole from spencers or an adult shop. They are not intended to hold you body weight, and they are dangerous. Their own website clearly states, "IMPORTANT:

The Peekaboo Dance Pole is not a professional dance pole. It cannot support your full body weight and is to be used solely in conjunction with the dance moves recommended in the dance book."

Invest the money in a lil mynx or x-pole, they are simply the best and are safe! I have the xpole, 50 mm chrome, removable, both spinning and static mode and sets up/tears down in about 10 mins. Go to the website for prices, but I believe they are under $300. Trust the best, don't waste your time and money on something that you'll end up being afraid to use.

  2. they CAN be used for exercise programs. under $45. they have portable ones that you can take down when not in use.

  3. try googling "stripper pole cost"  you'll find all you ever wanted to know about the subject, cost, and sources available

  4. Please tell your Cousin NOT to purchase a so called "Stripper Pole" from a Toy Company or any store that you can go into at your local Shopping Mall, UNLESS.... your cousin is only going to use it as a PROP and not an actual "Stripper Dance Pole".  There are way to many accidents resulting from purchasing one of those and consumers not knowing the difference and being lead to believe that it would withhold their body weight when in actuality it does not.

  5. sounds like fun!  A nice brass pole will run you about $250-$300.  You can probably get some for cheaper.  They come with installation instructions, the price depends on the height of her ceiling though!

  6. can get one at Spencers for about 80.00   it is spring loaded so it can come down. Be careful the ends are not chrome like the pole they are silver plastic. It fits a standard 8ft ceiling. I bought a CD on lebay and I can do the twirls real well. I want to lose about 15 lbs before I do anything fancy.
