  1. its not too far from your hotel to the nia (would say £5 to £7.50ish). I would suggest that food and drinks could be at the Mailbox or brindly place, a short walk from the nia by the canals, and both well sign posted from the nia canal side paths,

    enjoy the gig

wendyek - you didnt list me as your source, thanx for ripping off my answer

  2. you can walk 10 Min's or walk up to colmore row and get a bus from there about £1.50 loads of buses go there

  3. Hi you could actually walk from the Thistle Hotel to the NIA, it is well signposted and should take aprroximately 10-15 mins.  If not a taxi should be about £5.00 to £7.00.

The NIA is situated in a very busy part of the City Centre on Broad Street.  I would recommend the Mailbox for fantastic restaurants and wine bars most of them overlooking the canals of Birmingham.

There are plenty of bars and clubs on Broad Street too.

    Enjoy x

    EDIT: RE BREAKFAST

There are a couple of bars on Broad Street run by Wetherspoons where you can always get a value for money breakfast.

    EDIT: RE MARTIN S

I always try to answer questions about Birmingham as I have lived there all my life and did not even see your answer before I answered it - I just put what I know !!
