How much would a ticket coast to fly from California to Dallas?

Probably around $300. It depends when you're flying and how long in advance you buy it. Google "cheap plane tickets" and compare prices.

This is off the top of my head but you should definitely research Southwest Airlines. They are known for VERY low fares in those parts.

Those sites give the lowest fares I know of. It does depend on the time you buy them though. Try to book as far in advance as you can and watch the fare prices closely - one day a ticket could be 300, the next day it could be 600.

$278 is the cheapest out of LAX, on American Airlines. There is also Southwest, which is anywhere from $139 to $312. Unfortuneately that probably means its closer to $312, but that's still a good deal.

Out of San Francisco, on Southwest, it's pretty much the same, anywhere from $140 to $308. On United, out of SFO, it's $280

I would say assuming you are travelling from LAX around £100/$200, this will also depend on the time of day and the airline. And also on how busy it is.
