Im potentially going to Dublin for two days/nights of boozing it up and whatever else there is to do. I was wondering how much people would estimate the total cost to be for the trip (excluding flights and hotels). I hear its very expensive and wanna know what kinda money were talking...

  1. Seriously its extremeely expenisve. Im 17 and live here. When I go out with my mates I spend the best part of 100 quid a night. If I were you id try Prague, Krakow or Budapest. They are way cheaper.

  2. It depends on how much you drink - a pint is anywhere between €4.50 - €5.50, depending on where  and what you drink.

If your planning on two all day sessions than take about €250 with you, with an extra €100 or so for any trips that might grab your fancy!!

I was in London earlier this year and found it expensive, so you might not think Dublin is all that bad, when you consider everything.

  3. hi you

i am not trying to be funny or smart here that like asking what will be the winning numbers for the next Irish lotto draw

  4. well its very expensive

You could spend very little on food....or a LOT

depends on what you want to eat

If you want a nice restaurant in Dublin, it'll be 60-100 per person

Obviously you can opt for cheap food if you wanna save money

Its a booze holiday....so you're gonna be drinking a lot and going out in Dublin isn't cheap

The most expensive place for drinking is Temple Bar......unfortunatley its also the best place to go!

(Usually bars/clubs have admission costs (9-15 Euro))

but if if you go mid-week, there is often "offers" on drink...

(also, a little trick we do is to slip a small bottle of vodka in my bag so i dont have to buy so much in there lol)

(i know you didnt ask for thisbut!) Id recommend.....

Dorans (GREAT live music and food)

Try Barcode (thursdays are cheapest btw!).....i go there all the time and im 18 (its kind of young place)

    21's

    Reds

    The Viperoom

    Whelans

Theres alway great music in Tripod....it a lovely place too

If you're drinking a lot, you'll probably spend between 60-100  Euro each night on alcohol

Also, taxis are really expensive here....

Get the "nightlink".....it'll save you a h**l of a lot of money after you've spent all youre money on alcohol

    haha

    Have a great holiday!

and try not to end up in A&E

    ;)

  5. It's expensive to go out drinking in Dublin. Go to another city instead, try Limerick.
