  1. It really depends on if you are willing to spend lots of money or if you want to be on a budget. How long will you be there for? Where are you departing from? What airline do you prefer? Will you be using frequent flyer miles? Would you settle for hostels or couchsurfing instead of hotels? Would you fly from place to place or use the train, or something like Europcar? For the two of you, $2000 is probably be the least amount of money you can spend on the trip. Round-trip flights from the US East coast are around $500 per person, and I guess if you really roughed it you could get by with $1000 between the two of you in Europe. It's too bad the dollar is so weak though. Good luck.

  2. For the 2 of you it will probably be around 3500 considering airplane tickets, hotel rooms, food...etc. I wouldn't be surprised if it was more.

  3. Depends on your lifestyle.

i live in Hungary without working for 6 months at a time.

My husband and I own our own flat and have a car here.

Our biggest expense is the car with gas being at $8. a gallon plus costs for safety checks etc. on the car every year or so.

We do fine on a budget of around $1,000 to $1,200. per month but no rent and cook at home most of the time.

Went to Venice and Paris back in 1986, two  adults and a 12 year old. We tried to watch our money but easily spent $300. to $400. per day with hotels and food and rent a car we had for 6 weeks.

i am sure it is allot more nowadays.

Again depends on what you want, we had our own bathroom in our hotel rooms and ate in tourist places.
