How much would an OB normally charge for a regular weekly check-up?

i don't have an insurance.

no idea whatsoever with how much an OB charges and what the inclusions are in the charges (sonogram, blood test, etc). just a ballpark figure would be helpful

  1. In the midwest, your first visit is more, generally around $200 but as much as $500.  Any visits after that are $75-ish.

    Then you start adding procedures, and that is where it gets expensive, ultrasounds, lab work, etc.

    What you may be able to work out is a "package deal" with your OB, that basically includes everything basic (not emergencies like c-sections and the like), but your simple, basic, pop-out-a-kid deal.

    This runs about $6000 locally.  But, if you agree to work it out beforehand, you might save yourself some money.

    Something else to think about - state Medicaid programs have much higher income limits for pregnant women, and you may be entitled to WIC or other benefits, that you might not even be aware of.  make a couple of phone calls, perhaps it won't get you more than a couple gallons of milk a week, but it might help your issues.


  2. Planned parenthood will help you with the Dr visits.
