  1. IF:

LA= Los Angeles: I found one listing for 1.84 acres for $40,000 in Lancaster which is Los Angeles County

LA = Louisiana: I found one for around $2,000 per acre

  2. This is greatly dependent upon the location...whether the acre is located in the suburbs, a rural area, or downtown...near or far from lakes, or shopping, or highways.  Generally speaking, in order of greatest to least cost, you'd probably find this to be true...

    1)  Downtown  (areas with high rises, businesses and skyscrapers)

    2)  Suburbs (areas with mostly homes)

    3)  Rural (farm areas)

P.S.  "LA" is the abbreviation used for both Los Angeles and Louisiana, each of which would have VERY different property prices, but this would hold true in either location.
