How much would an under dash a/c add on be for a muscle car?

im looking for an a/c unit that fits under the dash of a 71 chevy nova, and i cant find any prices. any ideas? thanks in advance.

  1. I'm not sure of the cost, but there is a comany that makes aftermarket A/C systems for almost every classic car that looks almost like a factory unit. I think the name is Classic Air, a lot of custom rods use their kit. The under dash systems look kind of out of place and take up a lot of room.


  2. HAVEN'T SEEN ONE LATELY ----BEST BET HIT A U-PULL IT JUNK YARD AND GO FACTORY PARTS . THE ONLY THING THAT HAS TO BE OF YOUR YEAR ERA IS THE EVAPORATOR HOUSING AND DUCTS . THE REST CAN BE LATE MODEL PARTS

  3. Vintage Air is one of the more popular manufacturers of air conditioning systems for old cars.  Cost for a Nova kit is a little over $1000

    You may need to get a universal kit and adapt it to your Nova.  I found these at the Summit Racing website for between $1,200 and $1,400.  The universal kits I found were made by Hot Rod Air.
