  1. It's hard to say.it depends whether you need to buy all new furniture,or whether you are planning on renting furniture, and where you are planning on living when you get here,as some areas can be quite expensive to live compared to other areas.

Here are a few furniture websites so that you can work out a budget for your families furniture and white goods.

Here is also some websites that will  able to help you figure out how much rent you will need to Budget for.

A rough guide so that you can budget for day to day living

    (food,and utility bills) I would say,around $120 to $180.

(Food is very expensive here at the moment)

and another $50 to $60 a week for phone, electricty and gas(more if you want cable T.V.)

There is always special deals with Austar, where you pay no connection fee,and you are not locked into a contract,so your best bet is if you are wanting cable T.V,wait until thier special deals are on.( they have thier special deals every couple of months).

here is also a website for cars just incase you will be needing a car.

I don't know what country you are from, but if you are from some where like Ireland or England where dentists can be still a resonable price,I would also recommend that any dental work that you might need done, get it done before you leave,as dentists charge an arm and a leg here.

My husband and children usually go to the dentist when they go back home to Ireland as it works out way cheaper.

(Not including air fares or course).

I hope I have been of some help.

feel free to email me,if you need any more help.

    Take care.
