  1. Depends on what you're doing, the age of the kids, and your experience level.

If you're coming over after the parents have put the kids to bed and simply watching TV to make sure the house doesn't burn down the cost per hour might be less. Also, it depends on the age of kids you're watching. If you're caring for an infant they require much more attention than older kids and draw more moeny per hour.

I have two preschoolers and the typical rate is $7/hour for them. I've heard other friends of mine with three kids do offer $10/hour for sitters depending on the sitter's experience (i.e. university girls vs. high school girls) and teh age of their kids.

    Best of luck!

  2. Well if the person was it least 17 and was certified in cpr and first aid would consider 7 dollars an hour and if you were good with my children and I liked your work I would consider giving a bonus every now and then. I would not charge 10 dollars an hour esp. if your not certified in cpr consider taking that class it will look good in the eyes of parents looking for a sitter.

  3. ive been babysitting since i was 11 or 12, i have

    Redcross certificates for

    First aid

    CPR and AED

    Babysitting

and i charge $5 depending on the family for for 2 kids i normally charge $5

sometimes families pay me $10 but i assure them that i only charge $5 and hour

    hope this helps

  4. How old are you? Do you have any qualifications? How long have you been babysitting for? Do you know First Aid and CPR?

Just because you live in a "rich community" doesn't mean you should get more if you don't deserve it. A well qualified babysitter COULD get that much but usually the going rate is around $5-$7/hour.

  5. If i was you i would pay by the day like daycare and preschools go about paying. That's what i have done in the past..i have been a care taker of children for over 10 years. I would start out at 18 dollars a day

per child. But with that been said you also have to look at your background experience with children. Just think about it. Good luck!!

  6. who cares if u live in rich community. how old are you? i personally wouldnt let anyone under 17 babysit my child. what would u do in case of emergency? do u know how to do CPR? i am licensed to do that. what if my child was choking right in front of you, u wouldnt know how to do ****, by the time u call 911 the child is dead. depending on the childs age i'd pay u not more than 4-6 bucks an hour.

  7. 10$ is alot i would try maybe 5 or 7$ and if you really want money make it 5$ per kid

  8. For babysitting a child under 3 (because they have more needs that they can't take care of themselves) I would give you $7 an hour. For a child in the age range of 3-10 I would give you $5 an hour. Any age past 10 it would $4 because all you need to do is keep them out of trouble, keep them safe, make them meals, and the rest they basically do for themselves.

  9. Yikes, that's steep.

  10. depends on the kids and their age. I was always paid at least $30 no matter how long I babysat someone. then again, I watched my parents friends kids so I wouldnt mind. I would also ask how long you are going to watch then, then what ages they are and go from there. no less then $10 is a bit much but, whatever you think is reasonable.

  11. I pay my sitter $12hr to watch my 4 kids and will increase it to $15hr if she's still around come this winter with I have the baby.

It really depends on the amount of kids, your experience, the tasks that need to be done and effort. The affluence of the community is the last thing on the list.

    Best Wishes =]
