  1. Don't be surprised is insurance companies don't want to cover you, if they do offer you coverage be prepared to pay a huge price ($4000+)

There are too many variables to give you a accurate price (where you live, driving history, prior convictions, type/amount of coverage)

Go to car insurance companies websites (Geico, Progressive, etc), answer all of their questions (it takes about 5-10 minutes) for accurate on-line quotes.

  2. Thousands of dollar just for liability (the basic).  It all depends on what city you live in.

Compare that to what I pay (45 yo) just for liablity on Civic ($450).

If you could some how pay thousands of dollars per year, your doing pretty good.

The reason it is so expensive it because it takes years of experience to avoid accidents.  You are almost guranteed to trash that pretty little boxter.

I will tell you the same thing I told my nephew, driver a beater you don't mind trashing.  Then you can buy a nice car that you know you won't scratch up (or worse) the first few week or months.

    Good Luck...

  3. Around 1000 to 1200 dollars per month for just you.  Or it will add about 400 dollars per month to your parents' policy, give or take.

Odds are, you can't afford it.

Get a late-model used Miata or MR2.  Like 9/10 of the fun at maybe 1/4 the cost.

  4. You know, the amount of questions you posted here, it would be easier to ring an insurace company and ask them how much it would cost for insurance.

And for the record, You should not be driving a performance car for your first car.
